SESSION ON E-WASTE COLLECTION DRIVE ON THE EVE OF NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

Department of Sciences in collaboration with Department of Computer Science, NCC and NSS organised Awareness session and Collection Drive on the occasion of National Science Day

The event featured Mr. Bipan Suman, Project Manager at NGO PAHAL and RJ at All India Radio and Doordarshan, Jalandhar, along with Mr. Mohit, also a Project Manager at NGO PAHAL. They engaged students in an insightful session on responsible e-waste disposal, emphasizing the 3Rs—Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse.

The session began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome from Asst. Prof. Jessy Julian. Mr. Mohit introduced NGO PAHAL’s initiatives, while Mr. Bipan Suman highlighted the environmental impact of improper e-waste disposal through an interactive discussion. The enthusiastic student participation made the session highly engaging and impactful. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Asst. Prof. Minakshi Sharma, followed by the National Anthem.
Also on 25th February , NCC and NSS cadets went to GGS Avenue for an E- waste collection drive.
