Student Grievance Redressal Policy

Welfare Mechanism

To promote the welfare of students, Trinity college has a robust mechanism for handling student grievances related to academic and non-academic matters. The institution is committed to providing a fair, transparent, and accountable environment where every student's voice is heard and respected.

Core Purpose

"Grievance redressal committee is formed with the purpose of providing a platform to the students to address their issues and get them resolved. The committee is required to handle students’ grievances and provide speedy resolution for the same."

Objectives of Grievance Redressal Committee

To ensure that students get prompt solution to their problems;

To ensure harmonious student – faculty relationship;

To act as a bridge to cover communication gap between students and management;

To provide a platform to students for expressing their grievances/suggestions freely and ensuring that it would be handled without any biases.

Composition

All complaints shall first be addressed to College Grievance Redressal Committee (CGRC) whose composition shall be as follows:

  • Chairperson: Principal of the college

  • Nominated Members: Two senior faculty members nominated by the principal

  • Student Rep: Student Representative from college cabinet

Quorum: Two members (including Chairperson)

Scope of Redressal

Academic matters: grades, content, teaching methods
Administrative issues: admissions, fees, scholarships
Campus facilities: infrastructure, amenities, services
Student services: counselling, career support
Interpersonal issues: conflicts with staff or peers
Discrimination or harassment: gender, caste, religion, etc.

Submission of Grievance

Online Portals

Submit immediate concerns online via the college website portal.

Open Portal

Suggestion Boxes

Opened 2nd & 4th Monday of every month in presence of Principal & Cabinet President.

Direct Approach

Submit in writing to mentors, counsellors, or any committee member.

Grievance Handling

The College Grievance Redressal Committee shall follow the principles of natural justice. Issues are resolved at the primary level considering seriousness and relevancy. Major matters are escalated to the Principal/Director for final assessment.

Resolution and Decision

7 Days

Inquiry team interacts and submits report/recommendations

3 Days

Final decision by Management based on report

3 Days

CGRC prepares final Closure Report

15 Days

Entire process completion from report to resolution

Reporting to University

If issue is university-related, CGRC sends report to Vice-Chancellor within 15 days.

Right to Appeal

Students dissatisfied with college efforts may directly apply to the university.
