NSS
Introduction
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is aimed at developing socially responsible and community-oriented youth. The scheme offers students of Senior Secondary (+2 level), Technical Institutions, Colleges, and Universities an opportunity to actively participate in nation-building through meaningful community service.
Since its inception in 1969, NSS has evolved into one of the largest youth volunteer movements in the country. What began with just 40,000 volunteers has grown to over 3.8 million enthusiastic students.
