“From Self-Doubt to Self-Actualization: Women’s Path to Empowerment”
The Gender Equity Forum organized a remarkable seminar for teachers on the topic, “From Self-Doubt to Self-Actualization: Women’s Path to Empowerment” in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The session began with a blissful prayer, setting a serene and inspiring tone for the event. Rev. Sr. Elseena, Chairperson of Staff Welfare, extended a warm and formal welcome to all attendees. The floral welcome was gracefully presented by Rev. Sr. Reeta and Dr. Puja Gaba, Principal of TIMT, adding a personal touch to the occasion.
The highlight of the seminar was the insightful session led by Mrs. Kavita Vij, Social Worker, Retd. Associate Professor in Philosophy, and Master’s in Sociology. She began her session by praising the innovative and energetic topic, emphasizing how it is both informative and empowering. Mrs. Vij eloquently shared that empowerment starts with belief, and every woman’s journey from self-doubt to self-actualization is a testament to resilience, strength, and growth. She noted that breaking internal barriers, embracing self-confidence, and unlocking true potential are key to lasting empowerment. When women rise, societies flourish, she said. Yet, she acknowledged that true progress is never complete without the collaboration and support of men.
Drawing from her own personal journey and achievements, Mrs. Vij served as a shining example of how women can overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential. Her impactful work in her career and community has not only uplifted women but has also fostered an environment of equality and mutual respect.
The seminar concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Rekha, Coordinator of the Gender Equity Forum. A special new initiative was introduced, where the entire faculty was honored by our esteemed Resource Person, Mrs. Kavita Vij, who also expressed her appreciation for this unique gesture.
