A FIELD TRIP ORGANIZED BY FACULTY OF ARTS

Field trips provide rich exposure to the environment and vibrant locations that reinforce what students learn in a classroom.”

The Faculty of Arts organised a one day trip to Chandigarh where a total of 30 students and 5 teachers joined. The very first stop was Pinjore Garden which was an example of the Mughal Gardens style. Secondly, they visited the most eco friendly garden known as Rock garden which has been built solely by home-waste and other industrial items by Nek Chand. Next, they headed to Chandigarh Bird Park. The main attractions of this Park were African Love Birds, Budgerigars, White Swan, Black Swan, Wood duck, Golden Pheasant, Yellow Golden Pheasant, Green Wing Macaw, Dun Conures, African Grey Parrot, Finches and Melanistic Pheasant. The next destination was Sukhna Lake , a sanctuary for many exotic migratory birds like- Siberian Duck, Storks and Cranes during winter months.

The students enjoyed the trip very much. It was an opportunity for education outside the classroom and for relaxation.
