INSTITUTIONAL INNOVATION CELL

The primary mandate of IIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative years. Trinity Institutional Innovation Cell work in collaboration with all the departments. Each Department is supported and guided for setting up their incubation centres and motivate the students to initiate their setups on commercial level.

In Session 2020-21, Students from Dept. of Cosmetology launched a beauty cream with brand name Hazel.

Similarly, one student Mr. Anuj Thapa from Department of Commerce was trained for digital marketing and was included in team of college social media team for handling college social media pages.

Mr. Philip from Department of Computer Science was appointed as an intern for designing college graphics.

Science students developed working model for Hydraulic lift.

GENDER EQUITY FORUM

Following UGC Guidelines and taking into account the need of the hour, we consider both the genders equal, therefore to cater the needs of both girls and boys; the women empowerment cell has been renamed as ‘Gender Equity Forum’ on 11th February 2022.

Gender equity means providing equal opportunities to male, female and transgender in political, economic, education and health aspects. So, the Forum is dedicated to discussing equality. It highlights how aspects of gender need to be included in response to gender based violence and will organize awareness programs in order to have a holistic understanding of the reality faced by male, female and transgender. All stakeholders including Civil Societies, Non-Government Organizations, Associations and Experts will be invited to take part, because gender equality concerns everyone.

The goal of the Gender Equity Forum is not only to raise awareness about the gender dimensions but also to develop applicable forward-looking recommendations on how to address persistent barriers for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in these areas through practical activities i.e. Nukkad Natak, Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Elocution etc.

INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE

An “Internal Complaint Committee” is established in the campus to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to the students especially girls of the College. The cell promotes measures aimed at achieving gender equality, removal of gender bias or discrimination, sexual harassment and other acts of gender based violence. The cell ensures that all information pertaining either to complaints registered and the proceedings and findings of any inquiries and/or investigations are kept strictly confidential. ICC functions as per Sexual Harassment Prevention Act 2013.

INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORKPLACE

The Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was notified on December 9, 2013 to provide a safe and secure environment for women in the workplace. The UGC Regulations, being statutory in nature, are binding for all Higher Educational Institutions. Specially, sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4 of these regulations mandates:

“……every Executive Authority shall constitute an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) with an inbuilt mechanism for gender sensitization against sexual harassment.”

UGC guidelines regarding IIC are available on the UGC website, i.e., www.ugc.gov.in.

An Internal Complaint Committee of a workplace to receive and redress complaints of sexual harassment. According to UGC guidelines, A Presiding Officer who has to be a woman employed at a senior level at workplace from amongst the employee. ANTI RAGGING & ANTI HARRASMENT CELL

The college caters to the need of every student who enters in. There is an Anti- Ragging and Anti-Harrasment Cell headed by experienced faculty members of the institution where the students can approach without hesitation, individually to address their problems. The identity of the students is kept confidential in such matters and the problem is solved within seven days of the complaint. STUDENTS’ GRIEVANCE CELL

The college is student oriented and is concerned about the well being of each student. For the smooth grooming of the students the college has instituted the “Grievance Cell” where the students can approach the staff in-charge of the cell and get redressal for their grievances. The cell acts as a bridge between the students and the management. Here, the students can share their opinions and valuable suggestions to make the environment of the college more conducive and progressive.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL

“The education system should highlight the importance of entrepreneurship and prepare the students right from the school and college education to get oriented towards setting up of enterprises which will provide them  creativity, freedom and ability to generate wealth” :-Dr APJ Abdul Kalam

Introduction- Entrepreneurship development cell is an initiative by the department of commerce of Trinity College ,under which college strives to create job providers rather than job seekers . The cell was incorporated in 2016-17. Since then cell has organized  various Entrepreneurship awareness camps,industrial visits  and related activities to make students and faculty of the region aware of the need,scope and development of the entrepreneurship.

Objectives-

  1. To create awareness on entrepreneurship among the students.

  2. To inculcate entrepreneurial spirit and culture among the students.

  3. To foster better linkage between parent institution and industrial sector.

  4. To conduct programs in entrepreneurship enabling skills.

  5. To nurture a passion for self employment among students.

Functions of EDC:

  1. To organize entrepreneurship awareness camps and entrepreneurship development programs.

  2. To develop curriculum on entrepreneurship essentials and introducing a certificate course.

  3. To organize guest lectures and seminars etc for the promotion and growth of entrepreneurial spirit among the students.

  4. To organize industrial visits to provide industrial exposures to the students.

TRAINING CENTRE FOR EMPLOYABILITY & PLACEMENT

 “THE PLACEMENT CELL” of the college aspires to provide career guidance and  placement opportunities  to the students. The main purpose of establishing this cell is to provide up to date information of all job opportunities to the students so that they can have a bright future with reputed jobs. Training & Placement Cell of Trinity College is established with an objective of not only securing placements for the students but also to make them competent enough to face the corporate world.

C.V RAMAN SOCIETY

The CV Raman was established by The Department of Sciences in 2002. The mission of this society is to inculcate scientific observation, identification and theoretical explanation of natural phenomenon. The objective is to provide conducive atmosphere and develop employable skills among the students.

THE GLAM CLUB

The Glam club is an association set up by the department of Cosmetology for improving and beautifying the hair, skin and nails. The students under this Club learn to work and study while learning cosmetics, therapeutic treatments and Beauty processes. The glam club is a unique and exciting new concept for the trainees in cosmetology. It offers unbiased extension service and free beauty tips to customers. The Club organises fashion shows and conduct festivals like lohri, teej, karwachauth, halloween etc. It provides opportunity to earn while studying through Bridal makeups, party makeups, TV industry makeups, mehendi, hair designing etc.

 

ARTIFACT CLUB

The club was initiated in the year 2005. Since then, it has been keeping its eye fixed upon encompassing various societies such as ‘Phulwari’, ‘Literary Daffodils’, ‘Tirangani Sahit Sabha’ which attract the youthful vigor of the students of Arts Department every year. The basic Objective of this Club is to provide a platform to exhibit the hidden talents of the students of Arts Department.

THE TECHNOCRATS CLUB

The Technocrats club was established by the Computer Science department in 2005, to direct the energy of its students in creative and constructive arena by providing opportunity for self development and knowledge enhancement. The club provides opportunity for students to participate in various competitions like inter-college, inter-class, youth festivals etc.

DYNAMIC BUSINESS CLUB

Dynamic Business Club is an association of students of Commerce Department established in the year 2005. The basic purpose of the club is to ensure holistic development of the students. The club provides a platform to its members to exhibit their hidden talents along with their academic growth.

The club animators guide and mentor the students and motivate them to take part actively in club’s activities. The club works through office bearers selected within students.

Panorama of activities conducted by the club includes variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities namely student development programmes, industrial visits, trips and excursions, expert talks, comfest etc.

The   club aims to inculcate among students the spirit of confidence, skills of team building and art of effective leadership. The club bridges the gap between the students’ knowledge and essential soft skills required to fit in corporate world.

 

GO GREEN CLUB

‘Go Green Club’ which is dedicated to spread awareness among the people regarding conservation and protection of the environment by organizing green events. The committee also promotes green lifestyle among the people by making them aware about the importance and necessity of green environment.
