STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM BY TRINITY SR. SEC. WING
The Student Development Program 2024, organized by the Trinity Senior Secondary Wing on October 14th, 2024, was a significant event aimed at promoting sustainability among students. Held from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bishop Symphorian Hall and College Ground, 91 students from classes XI and XII participated. The focus of the program was on utilizing waste materials to create a “Swachhta Vatika” (Cleanliness Garden), encouraging students to engage in waste management and environmental care by repurposing items like plastic bottles, car tyres, and ropes.
The event began with a prayer, followed by an introductory speech by Asst. Prof. Dimpal, who highlighted the purpose of the program. Rev. Sr. Gloria delivered the welcome address, after which the keynote speaker, Miss Ramanpreet Kaur, a state award-winning expert in sustainable practices, addressed the students. She shared insights on reusing waste materials and the significance of recycling for sustainability.
A major highlight of the program was the hands-on activity where students actively created the Swachhta Vatika on the college grounds, working together to turn waste into useful resources. Their enthusiasm and teamwork made the event not only educational but also deeply impactful, as they learned practical methods of waste management.
Miss Ramanpreet Kaur was honored for her contribution as the resource person of the day. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Asst. Prof. Ankita, who expressed appreciation to all who contributed to the program’s success, including the students, teachers, and the guest speaker. The day ended with valuable lessons learned about sustainability and environmental care.
