SPREADING JOY AND HOPE: CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR OUTREACH PROGRAM IN APAHAJ ASHRAM
ON 18 DECEMBER 2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets recently conducted a heartwarming outreach program at Apahaj Ashram near HMV to celebrate Christmas and New Year. This initiative, organized as an extension of the Wall of Kindness project, aimed to spread joy and hope among the ashram residents. The cadets began the event with a festive cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity and celebration, and distributed slices of cake to all attendees. Following this, they handed out essential items, including warm clothing ensuring the residents were well-equipped for the winter season. The outreach program not only uplifted the spirits of the ashram residents, fostering a sense of community and care, but also provided the cadets with a valuable experience in empathy and social responsibility. The residents expressed deep gratitude, sharing that this initiative made their festive season truly special, while the cadets reflected on the joy of giving and the importance of community service.
It was a soul touching experience. All the students learnt many deep values after the execution of this activity.
