ICT PEDAGOGY

“Smart technology” is the familiar terminology that is widely being used in every being’s life. Smart-phones, tablets, gadgets, smart televisions, etc. are the products of smart technology that have made teaching smarter, easier and accessible. Going an extra mile, Trinity College has initiated Information and communication technology in teaching and learning process.

1. Google Classroom 

Trinity College has initiated Google Classroom to simplify distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way. It also helps sharing files between teachers and students. Students are invited to join a class through a private code. Each class has a separate folder in the respective user’s Drive, where the student can submit his/her work to be graded by a teacher.

2. MOOC

Trinity College is encouraging and insisting Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for teachers as well as students through SWAYAM.

3. Trinity College Enterprise Resource Planning (TCERP) Software

Trinity College has initiated TCERP Software to equip teachers and students alike to create interest and involvement in education and make teaching and learning faster and effective. As a beginning of Information and Communication Technology the college has activated the following program in TCERP Software:

a) Students Record Management
To make more transparent and professional, a centralized electronic recording system is introduced through which students registration, attendance, admonition & profile management and fee collection will be recorded and made available to teachers’, students’ and parents’ on their mobile.

b) Library Management

To introduce more than just books, computers and other technology, databases of accurate information, e-books, plus fun and educational activities, the college has introduced software for library management. It provides hundreds of e-books and thousands of e-journals

c) Examination Management
To create healthy academic competition among students and teachers, the college has initiated digital result processing and result analysis, subject priority setting in mark sheet, in the examination and grading system.

d) Android and i-phone Apps
For more effective connectivity and communication, the college has introduced a net work through mobiles. It provides class time tables, details of the subjects and important information.

4. ICT Class rooms

We are proud to say that all the teachers are familiar with ICT and teaching through PPT and other methods. The college has equipped a class room in every floor exclusively for ICT.

5. Computer Lab

Trinity College has a well equipped computer lab with modern facilities. The TCERP Software is monitored by System Administrator.

6. Conference Hall

The college has a well furnished conference hall with multimedia facilities where workshops, seminar and students live programmes are held.

7. IELTS/Language Lab

Language labs provide practice in an entertaining and interactive way to acquire the 4 main language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Reading the signs of the time, the college has equipped a language lab with a minimum capacity of fifty students. The lab also provides facility for IELTS students for Self-learning, reinforcement and evaluation.
