Faculty Development Programme: Enhancing Quality Education

From January 3-9, 2025, the Staff Welfare Committee and Research Cell organized a One-Week Faculty Development Programme. The event commenced with a prayer by Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, followed by a formal welcome by Principal Dr. Ajay Prashar. Dr. Prashar emphasized the significance of faculty development in enhancing education quality.

Dr. Puneet Puri from DAV College Jalandhar was the resource person for the first three days. He delivered engaging sessions on “Role of Teachers in Education – NEP 2020” and “CAS Promotion Scheme for Teachers in Higher Education with Special Reference to API.” Dr. Puri’s expertise and interactive approach clarified misconceptions and guided teachers toward progress.

On days 4-7, Dr. Kulwant Kaur from Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technology campus, Jalandhar, led technical sessions. She explored “Technology-Enhanced Faculty Learning and Development Opportunities” and “Future Trends in Research – Interdisciplinary Excellence.” Dr. Kaur systematically explained leveraging AI for student engagement and shared tools and applications for teacher development. Her insights on interdisciplinary research sparked interactive discussions.

We extend gratitude to our Director, Rev. Fr. Peter Kavumpuram, for arranging this enriching program, which significantly enhanced our knowledge and skills. This experience was truly enriching and will contribute to our growth as educators.
