ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP -2019
Objectives:
- To make the students aware about Gender equality.
- To enlighten a spark among them to be self reliant.
- To make the students aware that women and men have equal rights and self determination in all aspects.
DAY-1
Department of commerce organized a two days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp under the aegis of EDII Ahmedabad and DST from 10th October to 11th October 2019.The programme started with a blissful prayer .Chief guest Mrs.Ruhani Kohli ,Director La Blossom School,Jalandhar with Asst.Prof.Puja Gaba and all departmental members and students coordinators lighted the lamp. Inaugural ceremony was conducted with a welcome speech by Asst. Prof.Neetu Khanna., Asst. Prof. Puja Gaba (H.O.D Department of Commerce) gives the floral welcome to the chief guest of the Programme . Mrs.Ruhani Kohli shared with the students regarding “Gender equality in Business ’’. What are the various traits which are to be followed to become an entrepreneur.She also shared her own personal experiences with the students .This was really an interactive session and all the students appreciated a lot for the same.
DAY-2
On the 2nd day the programme started with a blissful prayer.Asst.Prof.Inderpreet Kaur welcomed the Guest of the day, CA Rahul Juneja, Asst.Prof Ajay Prashar Principal Trinity College,presented a bouquet to the resource person. CA Rahul Juneja enlightened a spark among students regarding Chartered Accountantancy. He discussed what professions we can join after doing graduation in Commerce.He also motivated the students by sharing his personal experiences to become a Chartered Accountant. He motivated students that age and resources are not barrier for being Chartered Accountant .If a person is determined to achieve anything he can achieve it by his/her constant efforts. As CA,Rahul Juneja was the alumni of the College ,he acts as a role model for each and every student. He also cleared all the doubts of the students regarding this profession. He also suggested various institutes in Jalandhar and nearby areas which are providing coaching for the students who wish to join C.A. Really it was a fantastic interactive session for the students.
Total 80 students of BCA and BCOM attended this program. Anchoring was done by Asst. Prof Samriti. Overall it was a motivational workshop for students. Students find it very fruitful and useful as they were motivated for start up a new venture and develop new creative ideas. They suggested to organize these types of workshops in future also.
