DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

The department was set in motion on 15 July,2002. The Technocrats club has been established for nurturing the computer youth of Trinity College. Department of Computer Science produces competent professionals with creative   and innovation skills, inculcating moral values and societal  concerns.

1. Assistant Professor Jessy Julian has been appointed as the Member of Board of Studies from 2022-2024.
2. Assistant Professor Rajinder Kaur has been appointed twice as the Member of Board of Studies from 2020-2022 and  2022-2024.
3. Recognition for Excellence: Asst. Prof. Jessy Jullian Awarded IRSD Teaching Excellence Award at 13th International Conference on interdisciplinary research for sustainable development held at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi”
4. Assistant Professor Jessy Julian selected as International Mentor with I2OR India.
5. Assistant Professor Jessy Julian has Completed one week FDP on “NEP 2020 Orientation & Sensitization Programme” from 3.6.2024 to 11.06.2024.
6. Assistant Professor Jessy Julian has successfully completed a course on “Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework” from 4^th April 2024 to 16^th May, 2024.

10. Department of Computer science organized endowment lecture on E-Waste Collection Drive on 31^st August,2023.
11. Department of Computer science organized an Outreach Programme on 2nd December 2023 at Village Madaar, Jalandhar.
12. To unlock the Digital Potential of Students the Department of Computer Science organized Guest Lecture on “Digital Marketing” on 19^th February,2024.
13. Department of Computer science organized 7 Days National Level FDP on “Research Methodologies” from 11^th -18^th December,2023.
14. Rinky from BCA1bagged first prize in solo dance and Priya Gupta and Shilpa from BCA1 bagged second prize in group dance in the Inter College Competition COLORS held at CT Instititute, Maqsoodan.
15. The Department of computer science signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Education Solutions LTD, Jalandhar. An ISO certified Software Developing Company
16. On 9^th March, 2021, Prof. Navdeep Singh contributed 110 books to the book bank of the department On 12 March, 2021
17. Department of Computer Science organized an Outreach Programme to the slum area near Chogitti and distributed essential things on the occasion of Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh ji on 25^th January 2021.
18. Department of Computer Science organized a Guest Lecture on “Impact of Animated Movies Pictured on Guru Gobind Singh Ji on Human Psychology” on Gurpurab of Guru Gobind singh Ji on 21^st Janaury 2021.
19. Department of Computer Science organized SDP on 14^th October 2020 on “Digital Payment System”  The Resource Person of the program was   Lalit  Goyal,  Associate Professor , DAV college, Jalandhar.
20. Students of the Department of computer Science, Omparkash from BCA2, and Dolly and Tulsi from BCA1 got 3^rd prize in IT Quiz and Manisha and Monica from BCA 2 got second prize in E collage in IT Fest “Plasma” held at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar on February 2020.
21. Department of Computer Science gave financial assistance to poor students of an NGO  “Hope of Children” in Batala on 25^th Janaury 2021.
22. The Department celebrated Independence Day on 15^th August 2020 and also organized a poster making competition on National Integration.
23. Department of computer science organized Tech Star an Inter Departmental talent hunt programme from 29^th – 31^st October 2020.

25. Two students of our department Amit Minj and Dolly were selected for the internship programme in Bharat Maago and Co. Jalandhar.
26. BCA final year students of the Department of Computer Science participated in a Seminar organized by Employment Exchange Bureau on “Artificial Intelligence”.

28. Department of computer science organized an International Webinar on “Ethical Hacking and Security” on 6^th June 2020.
29. Raminder Kaur from BCA1 got 98 % marks in Discrete Mathematics in University Examination held in the session 2019-2020.
30. Hemant , a student of Bsc Comp sci got first prize in PPT making competition in “National Mathematics Day” held at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.
31. Department of Computer Science organized one day workshop on ICT Enabled Teaching. The resource person of the program was Asst. Prof. Navdeep Singh on 13^th June 2020.
32. Department of computer science organized an Awareness Program on Covid 19 under the program of “Mission Fateh” in the village Bolina Doaba  on 4^th July 2020.
33. Department of computer science organized one month online crash course on Digital Citizen from 26^th May -27^th June 2020.
