Report of day two(31.08.24)

The day began with a delicious breakfast at Kerala House, a cultural center showcasing the rich heritage of Kerala. The traditional Kerala cuisine, including idlis and sambar, provided a perfect start to the day.

After the breakfast we headed to Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory built in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh II. We explored the fascinating instruments, including the massive sundial and the Samrat Yantra, learning about their historical significance and astronomical importance.

Next, we visited Amrit Udyan, the beautiful gardens surrounding the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. The gardens, designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens, are a stunning example of Mughal and European landscaping. We strolled through the gardens, admiring the vibrant flowers, trees, and water features.

The final destination was Palika Bazaar, an underground market offering a wide range of goods, from clothing to electronics. We indulged in some shopping and ended the trip with lip smacking snacks from the McDonald’s.

The trip to Delhi was a wonderful experience. From the delicious Kerala breakfast to the stunning Amrit Udyan, fascinating Jantar Mantar, and bustling Palika Bazaar, the day was filled with memorable moments.
Overall it was an u forgettable experience which all the students will remember for a lifetime.
