Blooming Buds is a state level talent hunt programme that provides an opportunity where tender buds of varied schools from Punjab come together for widening their capacities and establishing a strong network of bonds. The programme hunts fresh talents among the school students for building relationships, creating opportunities and infusing a wholesome competitive spirit in the budding youth of today.

Objectives:
This programme also carries a motive to let the fresh talents nourish and develop by confronting numerous brain storming activities. Through this state level competition, Trinity College extends its commitment to serve the community.

Process at glance : To identify and fetch the best talent among thousands of fresh brains, this competition is conducted every year in July and August in three different levels for school children of VIII to XII standard. The participants from VIII to X class are grouped under category one and category two represents students from XI and XII standard. First level explores the academic knowledge of students. Top three students from each category along with top scorer from each class from each school are shortlisted for second level to be conducted at different centers where their creativity and brain power is tested. Top three students from each category along with top scorer from each school from each center make it to the final level. This final level is conducted in the college campus which includes personality development and various other task oriented sessions.

3. MENTORING
’Mentoring’ means to become a guiding torch for a group of students. Our college has been organizing mentor meetings since 2003. The purpose of organizing such meetings is to give an opportunity to the students to discuss the significant matters with their mentors. Frequent meetings are organized every year to accomplish the goal of nurturing the students’ minds. A mentor is a friend, philosopher and guide to the students. Building up a rapport with the students is the first step for mentoring.

Objectives:

To formulate groups comprising  15-20 students so that the objective of paying individual attention is focused.

To create a class away from class where the students will love to come ahead with the ideas which otherwise is difficult for them to present in front of the whole class.

To acquaint the students with the vision and mission of the college from time to time.

To communicate important information regarding the college activities.

To inculcate good qualities in the students.

To involve the students in group discussions on some common topics.

Other agendas will be formulated from time to time as per the requirement and will further be intimated to the mentors.
